Seems to me there are
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
for V12ity on the table that are not being considered. Probably for good reason, but anyway...

Ive had it over 8 years and never had an issue with it while it was running.
That seems unlikely.
I spent over $18k in parts and maintenance

That specific car is probably a pretty good investment. A terrible idea but if you had the means to bring it back to life it would certainly only increase in value as time goes on, 6 speed 850s just dont exist.

The 850i is more beautiful than the DB7 and CL600. But the CL600 makes the most power and with V12 grand tourers power is king. So the choice is obvious

I did the heads on a CSI a few years ago, it was a really cool car, everything the 850i should have been.

German V12s are enough to make you wonder if you should have just had kids instead.
Because it costs about the same...most of the time.

Cheapest path to v12 POWARRRR in a grand tourer is a Jag with nitrous, as Top Gear showed.

I imagine you can make a lot of improvement to an i if you’re not worried about originality and/or sanity.

So much power it managed to kill off a Stig!

Yep. On my list, and actually slightly higher in the Good Bad Idea Sweepstakes than an 8-series. That being said, an 8-series *is* teh sex, at least visually.

youre right about manual v12s, but i dont know if this one would really be a good investment. if it needs a paint job, hopefully you’d buck up and put at least 5-7k into that. and my guess is another 5-10k getting everything else sorted mechanically and cosmetically.
at that point you still have a green 850 with funny wheels and 130k on the clock. i’d go for a running 850 with manual in a more standard color, which i’m sure can be found for <20k.
if you love the color, have lots of time and/or cash, i’d say go for it. these cars are beautiful and unique.
that CSi in your photo though... :)
